How to Choose the Right Photo for Your 3D Crystal

A strong crystal engraving starts with the photo. The clearer the face, lighting, and main subject are, the cleaner the final 3D or 2D result will look.
Before you upload the photo
- Choose a photo where the face or subject is sharp and not blurred.
- Use good lighting with visible eyes, hair, and clothing details.
- Avoid photos where important parts are cropped at the edge.
- For two or more people, choose a larger crystal size so every face has enough space.
Helpful design notes
- Tell us which people, pets, or objects should stay in the engraving.
- Mention if the background should be removed, softened, or kept.
- Add engraving text only when it supports the photo and does not overcrowd the design.
Designer tip
If you are unsure between two photos, upload the clearer one and add a short note. The design team can use the note to focus on the right subject.
